It is above all an educational event to promote peace and understanding. The World Scout Jamboree includes a wide variety of activities and also places great importance on the everyday life and interaction on the campsite.
The World Scout Jamboree takes place every four years in a different country.

HISTORY OF THE WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE

Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scout Movement, invited young people from all over the World and wanted them to exchange cultures and enjoy adventure. It was in 1920 that the first World Scout Jamboree was realized, held in the Olympia halls in Kensington, London.

In 1991, the 17th World Scout Jamboree was successfully held in 1991 in Goseong, Gangwon-do with 19,093 participants from 135 countries under the theme of “Many Lands, One World.”
