Chief Scout and President of the Maldives, his excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih meets the National Scout Council and Executive Committee of the Scout Association of Maldives. This meeting was held at the President’s Office on 26th May 2022. Chief scout presented warrant of appointment to the newly elected members of the National Scout Council.
Patron of the Scout Association and Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali, President’s office minister Mr. Ahmed Sameer and chief of staff Uz. Ali Zahir also joined the chief scout in this meeting.
Chief Scout congratulated the new scout council appointed for the term 2021-2024.
President of the scout association Mr. Mohamed Nazeef, highlighted the challenges and issues faced by the scout movement in Maldives. Chief scout has assured that his full support will be given to address the challenges faced and to the growth of scouting in Maldives. He also inquired about the activities planned for this year and preparations for a national scout jamboree.
