International Scouting

With more than 170 Member organization within the World Organization of the Scout Movement there are various events each year. They provide great opportunities for our members to connect with the world, to learn about other people and their cultures through scouting activities, and make lifelong friendships as part of the scouting journey.

World Events

Scouting is an international Movement that encourages meetings across cultural and geographical borders. An important part of Scouting is to meet and develop from the exchange with others from across the globe. 

World Scout Conference

The World Scout Conference is the governing body of WOSM. This is where the member organisations consider the policy and standards of the Scout Movement, formulate the general policy of the World Organization, and take the action required to further the purpose of the Movement. 

World Scout Youth Forum

Young members of World Scouting (ages 18–26) have the chance to discuss and voice their views on various subjects at the World Scout Youth Forum, which coincides with the World Scout Conference every three years. It is a tool increasing youth participation in global decision-making.

World Scout Jamboree

The World Scout Jamboree, which draws up to 45,000 people from all over the world, is the largest educational event promoting peace and understanding organized by the Scout Movement. The Jamboree offers a wide range of activities and gives daily life and social interaction on the campground a priority.

World Scout Moot

The World Scout Moot is an event for Rovers and other young adult members, gathering up to 5,000 people. Moots provide an opportunity for young adults in Scouting to meet together with the objective of improving their international understanding as citizens of the world.

Kandersteg International Scout Centre

The Short Term Staff is the “spirit” of a season! They are Scouts and Guides who come to work to Kandersteg for a season of 3 months.A new team of Short Term staff arrives every June, September, December and March. Being a Short Term member of Staff in KISC is a unique experience. As a Short Term Staff, you will have the time of your life; growing, learning and having fun. 

Suncheon Asia-Pacific Scout Center

SAPSC is an international scout centre where scouts from different countries in the world come to volunteer as teachers. The scout volunteers teach about their culture in return they learn about Korean culture.If you have some thing unique about your culture or country and you feel the world has to know this is the right place to be.
