The Scout Association of Maldives Participates in Asia-Pacific Regional Brand Strategy and Management Workshop

From June 4-7, 2024, a delegation of the Scout Association of Maldives participated in the Asia-Pacific Regional Brand Strategy and Management Workshop held in Bangkok, Thailand. The event, organized by the National Scout Organization of Thailand (NSOT) in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Support Centre, brought together representatives from 12 National Scout Organizations (NSOs) across the region.

The delegation included Mifzaal Abdul Baari, Headquarter Commissioner for ICT; Ahmed Nasheed, Member – National Scout Council; and Ashraf Waheed, Chair of the National Training Committee.

The workshop was designed to equip participating NSOs with advanced brand management strategies, aiming to enhance their ability to effectively manage and promote their brand identities. Through a series of intensive sessions, participants delved into best practices related to brand strategy and management, facilitated by experts in the field. This workshop not only provided valuable insights but also fostered a sense of unity and shared purpose among the diverse scouting organizations in the Region.

Highlights of the Workshop

Comprehensive Sessions on Brand Management:

The workshop covered a range of topics essential for robust brand strategy and management. Sessions included discussions on brand positioning, visual identity, communication strategies, and digital presence. These were tailored to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by NSOs in the Asia-Pacific region.

Interactive Learning and Best Practices:

Participants engaged in interactive activities designed to apply the theoretical knowledge gained. This hands-on approach ensured that the learnings were practical and could be directly implemented within their respective organizations. NSOs also had the opportunity to share their own success stories and challenges, facilitating a rich exchange of ideas and experiences.

Networking and Collaboration:

The workshop provided a valuable platform for networking, enabling representatives to forge new connections and strengthen existing ones. This collaborative spirit is crucial for fostering regional cooperation and support among NSOs.

Educational Tour:

A half-day educational tour was included, offering participants a chance to explore local cultural and historical sites. This tour not only enriched the overall experience but also provided a broader context for the workshop’s themes by highlighting the importance of cultural heritage in brand identity.
